Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By creating an account or using Repast (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. What Repast does

Repast generates personalized weekly meal plans and grocery lists based on the dietary preferences you provide. Recipes are authored by AI tools and reviewed before publication; nutrition estimates are approximate.

3. Not medical or nutritional advice

Repast is a planning and convenience tool, not medical advice. It is not a substitute for professional guidance from a doctor, registered dietitian, or other qualified healthcare provider. If you have a medical condition (including but not limited to diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease, or eating disorders), are pregnant or nursing, or are considering significant dietary changes, consult a qualified professional before relying on plans generated by the Service. The ketogenic diet and other low-carbohydrate diets can have specific medical implications, and Repast does not assess your individual suitability for any diet.

4. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials (Google, Facebook, or email magic link) secure and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Repast. One account per person.

5. Acceptable use

You may not:

• Scrape, mirror, or bulk-export the recipe library or grocery data;
• Probe, attack, or attempt to disrupt the Service;
• Use the Service for unlawful purposes;
• Impersonate another user or misrepresent your identity;
• Reverse-engineer the recipe-generation system to clone it.

6. User content (future feature)

When ratings, reviews, or recipe photos become available, you retain ownership of what you submit, but grant Repast a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, reproduce, and adapt your submissions within the Service and in marketing materials. You're responsible for ensuring you have the right to share anything you upload (no infringing on third-party copyrights).

7. Our content

The recipe library, software, design, and brand are the property of Repast or its licensors. You may use them only as needed to use the Service for your own personal meal planning. You may not copy, publish, or redistribute recipes outside the Service.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Repast makes no guarantees about availability, accuracy of nutrition data, accuracy of grocery prices, or fitness for any particular purpose. National-average grocery prices are estimates and will differ from your local store.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Repast and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages — including but not limited to lost profits, lost data, or health outcomes — arising from your use of the Service. Total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid Repast in the twelve months preceding the claim, or USD $100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You can delete your account anytime. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notice at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, without regard to conflicts of law. Disputes go to the state and federal courts in Cook County, Illinois.
